Logistics should be running normally from Thursday, which means we’re expecting fresh arrivals in daily from the UK and Europe. The protests in France continue, so we are keeping our fingers tightly crossed for no delays! In any case we will have a fantastic selection of UK staples at all times.
Our growers are working incredibly hard to harvest the increased amounts on order for this week. Newfield Organics in Yorkshire are lifting all their parsnips by hand, a very difficult job, especially in this wet weather. We’re immensely grateful to them and our other growers this week.
Remember that the benefit of dirty carrots and parsnips is that they can stored outside the fridge in a paper bag. Oranges are delicious right now, both from Agrico-op in Sicily as well as Spain. We do advise to keep those refrigerated.
And finally, Italian blood oranges are here – small fruits with intense flavour…
