This weekend we will have plenty of citrus for you to recharge the vitamin C. We are very proud of the clemenules variety of clementine which have been extraordinary this year, if you haven’t tasted them yet this is their final week of the season, so grab them while you can!
For lovers of Sicilian fruits, our next Agricoop pallet is due here on Wednesday. The oranges have been tasting superb this year, and there’s some deep red Tarocco blood oranges due in too. Throw one in your marmalade mix for an extra special twist on the classic.
We’ve also bought plenty of beautiful swede for you to get stuck into this week for Burns Night on Thursday. This year they are coming direct from Scotland grown by Chapel Organics in Berwick. We think the best mashers to go along with your haggis are Twinner and Alouette potatoes. Enjoy!
Last but not least, we want to introduce you to a new French lettuce grower in the mix this week via our trusted supplier Le Gros Bio. This farm in the South of France has two hectares of greenhouses providing jobs for people living with mental illness. We have had plenty of their delicious spinach over the last month and their lettuces are of a similar wonderful quality.
